Erno Laszlo Vitamin C Peel Mask

Influenster was kind enough to select me to try and review the Erno Laszlo White Marble Dual Phase Vitamin C Peel mask. The set retails for $100 and has the following description:

Peel and reveal. Powered by super-nutrient Vitamin C, our clarifying two-step peel gently polishes skin as it fades dark spots and discoloration. Step 1 gently exfoliates; Step 2 activates brightening and moisturizing actives—you simply peel away to uncover instant radiance. Your complexion feels instantly new: smoother, even-toned and illuminated. Protective antioxidants and collagen-boosters combine to refine and renew skin, such as age-defying actives and brightening ingredients, including:

    • Vitamin C—the formula’s star multitasker—to reduce dark spots and dullness, lighten skin and jump-start collagen production.
    • Carrot seed oil to heal and balance dry or chapped skin, while helping fight age spots and sun damage.
    • Lactic acid to gently exfoliate skin so it’s properly prepped to absorb brightening, hydrating and healing nutrients.

I had never used a product like this before, so I was very excited to try it out. First, you use the smooth peel all over your face and rub it into your skin for about 3 minutes. This smells super citris-y and really wakes you up! Then, you mix the liquid activator into your hands and massage it into your skin for one minute. Finally, you rinse with warm water when you’re done.

My skin felt and looked wonderful after using it. It really got all that dead skin that can be tricky to get off and left me with a pretty glow. It did not irritate my skin at all either.

It is suggested to use this set weekly. I’ve had it for about a month now and have been doing just that. It’s been a great addition to my skin care routine and I’m actually considering getting more when I run out of this. I hope it lasts me quite a while, though.

June Glam Bag from Ipsy

The June glam bag is here! I love the graffiti pattern on this bag, very cute! It seems that I’m finally starting to get bags that are more my taste.

  1. ColourPop Cosmetics Crème Gel Liner in Get Paid or Swerve – I’ve never tried a ColourPop eyeliner before! This is a fun color, especially for summer! I was pleasantly surprised how creamy and easy to apply they were!
  2. theBalm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Trimony Eyeshadow in Matt Kumar or Matt Moskowitz – This is a great matte, plum shade! I love purple shadows and I love the fact that this one is matte. I’ve been using it to smoke up my look a bit by using it in the crease with browns and purples on the lid.
  3. oo-Boo Cover-Up Baby Boo-Boo Cover-Up
  4. A little goes a long way with this stuff! It’s a little too light for me right now with it being summer. It was easy to apply and remained smooth – no settling into fine lines, though.

  5. BioRepublic SkinCare Fiber Mask Set – I love masks, so I was very excited to receive these in my glam bag this month! These were fun! I love the smell and my skin felt refreshed after using them.
  6. Liptini Cream Lip Color in Pinktini – This was okay. The color is pretty, but I don’t like taking the time to use a brush to put on lip products, so I don’t like how this is packaged.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence + Facial Treatment Mask [REVIEW]

IMG_6478

Influenster kindly included me in their SK-II vox box and I received the essence and face mask to test out! I’ve heard good things about essences (sort of like a lotion, but in liquid form) and was excited to try it out!

To apply, you put a few drops in your hand to warm it up then gently pat on your face until it’s absorbed. I’m loving it so far. It sinks in so quickly and feels great on my skin. It’s super light-weight and literally feels you’re wearing nothing. I have combo-dry skin that is sensitive and this works like a charm for me! The smallest size available is 75 ml and is $99. I even took this on vacation with me and it felt wonderful on my slightly sunburned skin. It was great patting it on and not rubbing it in, so I didn’t irritate my skin further when applying.

The face mask intrigued me, because I hadn’t used this type of mask before. It’s a cotton cloth that is soaked in a concentrated treatment of the essence that you lay on your face (it has eye and nose holes cut out) and let it absorb into your skin. You look a little frightening while wearing it, but you usually do with masks, right? It smelled wonderful and my skin felt very soft after using it. One of these babies is about $13.50 ($135 for a 10 pack) according to SK-II’s website.

All-in-all, I really like my SK-II products and would recommend them! 8.5/10

April Glam Bag from Ipsy

So, I’m in love with this tie-dye bag! So cute! Overall this bag had lots of hits and one dud. Nothing I’d consider mediocre, though, which is good.

tarte cosmetics’ LipSurgence™ lip crème in wonder – Love this! It has a minty, tingly feel to it when you apply it. I like the color, too. It’s not super pigmented, but not too sheer either.

Adesse New York’s Organic Infused Gel Effect Nail Lacquer in Irina – Pretty color! I have to admit, I just added this to my collection and did not get a chance to use it yet.

Luxie Beauty’s Dreamcatcher Tapered Highlighter Brush 522 – This is not in the photo, because it was too big for the ipsy bag and I didn’t notice it still in the package. Oops! But, I actually love this brush! It’s perfect for applying highlighter and has a pretty periwinkle handle.

Starlooks’ Cream Eye Shadow in Rose Gold – I love this color, but this stuff sucks. No matter what eyeshadow primer I use (Urban Decay or Too Faced), it does not stay. It creases really bad on me. Disappointed with this one. I might give it one more go as more of a liner than all over shadow and see how it goes.

pur~lisse Beauty’s Blue Lotus + White Tea Sheet Mask & Blue Lotus + Seaweed Sheet Mask – These are great! I love how they smell and they made my skin feel super soft. I put them on while taking a bath and had a nice soak with these on.
