October Glam Bag from Ipsy

Uh, this bag is ADORABLE! I love it! This is right up behind the galaxy bag that I got last November or October, I believe. And I got a lot of good products in this one. I had a little meh spot with ipsy, but it’s been picking up lately!

Ciaté London’s Fierce Flicks Eyeliner – This reminds me of Kat Von D’s tattoo eyeliner. It goes on smooth, it goes on dark, and it goes on evenly. Which is exactly what you want with a felt liquid liner. It’s new, though, so we’ll have to see how it holds up over time.
theBalm Cosmetics’ Hot Mama Blush – Love this! Reminds me of Nars’ Orgasm blush. I think I’m going to stick this in my car for blush touch ups.
noyah’s Natural Lipstick in Smoke – I like the color itself, but it wasn’t quite right on me. It’s a “greige.” The formula is okay – long-lasting, but not the most comfortable or uncomfortable on the lips.
pūr~lisse Daily Lip Nourisher with Mango and Shea Butters – I’m obsessed with lip balm, so I was pretty excited to get this. Makes my lips feel great and smells good. You can never have too many lip balms!
MeMeMe Blush Brush – A simple blush brush. Gets the job done and is soft. I tend to gravitate towards brushes with a little bit more personality, like colors or patterns, but overall this is a good brush.

Favorite Liquid Lipsticks For Fall

pinterest

Autumn brings bold, dark makeup looks and the easiest place to pull it off is on your lips! For extreme staying-power, I prefer liquid lipstick formulas. I’d like to point out that I wasn’t sent any of these products – I bought them all on my own. Here are some of my favorite liquid lipsticks for fall!

swatch1

ColourPop’s Beeper (Warm Taupe) – A great neutral-brown shade. I purged a bunch of my CP liquid lipsticks that I didn’t reach for or if I had a similar color in a better brand. This one, though, has remained a favorite of mine.

Lime Crime’s Saddle (Brown) – A rusty-brown color. I was a little nervous how this one would look on me, but I actually love it.

dsc02153

Aromi’s Vamptastic Plum (Dark Plum) – I loooove purple lips. This is probably the shade that I rock the most.

dsc02159

Makeup Monstor’s Bewitched (Burgundy) – Just got this one, but I love it already! Makeup Monster’s formula is soooo good and their price is unbeatable. Seriously, check them out.

Aromi’s Red Dahlia (Deep Red) – A nice, vampy red is a must for fall. I love my Red Dahlia shade from Aromi. And the tubes are different, because they upgraded the packaging. This is the newer look.

Lime Crime’s Pumpkin (Red-Orange) – What would fall be without some pumpkin orange? This is surprisingly wear-able.

What are some of your favorite liquid lipsticks to rock in the fall? I’d love to hear some of yours!

September Glam Bag from Ipsy

Septembers Glam Bag was a good one! The bag itself was cute and I really loved most the products that came in it. Let’s hope future bags stick with that ratio of amazing vs meh products!

Pixi by Petra Mattelustre Lipstick in Rose Naturelle – I love Pixi by Petra, so I was excited to receive this in my bag. This is a great neutral shade for me. It’s like my lips, but better. It’s comfortable and lasts a decent amount of time.

IT Cosmetics Superhero™ Mascara in Super Black – This mascara is amazing! It stays put! Even if you sleep in it (I know, you shouldn’t, but shit happens), it stays. And no flakes. It’s great.

BeFine Food Skin Care Exfoliating Cleanser – Never heard of BeFine, but I love this product! It smells amazing, like brown sugar, when you put it on. As you message into your face, the scrub turns into a rich lather.

tre’StiQue Mini Highlight Stick in Maldives Luminescent – This is a nifty little thing! It’s great by itself or to layer under a powder highlighter for extra staying power. I just apply then blend with my finger.

NUXE Moisturizing Mask Crème Fraîche de Beauté – This was okay for me. I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it either. It seemed to moisturized, like it claimed, but I didn’t notice my skin looking or feeling extra amazing, ya know?

August Glam Bag from Ipsy

How cute is August’s ipsy bag?! I feel like I’m usually pretty ‘meh’ about the bags, but this one is adorable. Here’s what all came with it:

Rodial Smokey Eye Pen in Black – You can’t go wrong with a black eyeliner. I don’t use stick eyeliners too often anymore, but this one goes on very smooth and I haven reached for it a few times since trying it out.

Lord & Berry 20100 maximatte crayon lipstick in Intimacy – This is basically a large lip liner. The color is pretty, but I found it drying and uncomfortable to put on my lips. I probably won’t be reaching for this as actual lipstick, but lip liner – maybe.

Organic Surge Perfecting Face Polish – Ipsy always knows when I need some more exfoliator, I swear! This one is good, the exfoliants are quite fine. Almost too fine, but I’m starting to think that it’s just me.

NYX Professional Makeup BORN TO GLOW LIQUID ILLUMINATOR in Gleam – Oh my gosh, this is the best of the bag, my friends. I love this! It’s a great stand alone highlighter OR I sometimes use it to give my powder highlighter something more to stick to. I feel like highlighter can disappear off your face after wearing it for a while.

Sally’s Box Secret Garden Ampoule Masks – The masks themselves are awesome, but the packaging is huge! I had to find a new place for these masks, because they’re so much bigger than my other ones.

December Glam Bag from Ipsy

It seemed like my December Glam Bag took longer to arrive than usual. I’m blaming the holidays, which is totally fine. Not really into the look of this bag, but I did enjoy the products quite a bit.

  1. Clark’s Botanicals Deep Moisture Mask. This was nice. My dry-combination skin soaked this up. I used it once as just moisturizer, which felt nice on my skin. I finished it off with a mask while I took a bath. This made my skin super soft and it felt very moisturized.
  2. ModelCo LIP ENHANCER Illusion Lip Liner. This was very close to my natural lip colors, which I liked a lot. I’ve been needing a new nude lip pencil. Other than that, this was your standard lip pencil. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad either. It is exactly what you’d expect.
  3. Marc Anthony Hair Care Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Deep Conditioning Treatment. Alright, this stuff smells AMAZING! It makes my hair very soft. I haven’t noticed anything different than my other super moisturizing conditioners, but the scent is so great, I’d get this again.
  4. Pacifica Power Of Love Natural Lipstick. This was okay. It felt very drying when I put it on and was super noticeable while wearing it to me. I added some balm and that helped tremendously. It lasted an hour or so. I probably wouldn’t purchase myself, but it was alright to try.
  5. tarte cosmetics smooth operator™ Amazonian clay finishing powder. I know this stuff basically had a cult following, so I had high expectations – and it lived up to them! I love this powder. I’m finding that finishing and foundation powders can be super noticeable on my dry skin, especially in the winter. I’ve been having a hard time lately, because my go to powder from the summer isn’t really working anymore. This sets my makeup but does not make my skin look all flaky and dry. I think I’m going to have to get some of this after my sample runs out.

Color Pop Matte Liquid Lipsticks Review

IMG_3269

So for only $6 each, I had to check out Color Pop‘s matte liquid lipsticks, cause I’m obsessed with matte liquid lipsticks. I already had quite a few of my normal colors covered with my Aromi lipsticks, so I decided to get some nice neutrals and a super dark purple. I got, from left to right – Bad Habit, Guess, Beeper, and Clueless. I read online that Beeper was a great dupe for Kylie’s Lip Kit color Dolce and Clueless for Candy, so I thought I’d give those a go. The rest were just because I thought they were pretty. Color Pop has quite a few shades in your typical red, pink, nude, purple lines, but they do have some funky/non traditional colors, as well, like blue and green.

I thought these felt similar to my Aromi colors, but not quite as long lasting and a little more drying on the lips. Nothing that I don’t expect with matte liquid lipsticks, though. The coverage was excellent and I’d definitely get more shades from Color Pop, especially since they’re only $6 each! The price point is the biggest thing for me here. I haven’t seen a quality matte liquid lipstick at such a low price point.

Here’s the four colors swatched on my arm in natural light and with flash.

Beeper is super pretty on and really goes with my coloring. It looks much more natural than I anticipated. Clueless was another nice neutral that was soft and romantic, at least I thought so. Bad habit was more subtle on the lips. It was a nice mauve pink that wasn’t too loud. Guess looked pretty much black on my lips and I probably won’t wear it often, but I’m excited to rock it once in a while.

Here’s a potato quality photo from my phone of them on real quick.

Overall I’d give the color Color Pop lipsticks a 8/10! Have you tried Color Pop? Any other must-have shades I looked over when I was ordering? Let me know!
